Awareness Concept

The organisers of Polymesse are committed to ensuring that all participants treat one another with respect and without discrimination. It is important to us that everyone feels comfortable and safe at Polymesse.

To ensure this, we adhere to the VSETH Code of Conduct, the key points of which are summarised briefly below. The specific awareness measures for the event are set out below.

Principles

The following principles apply in particular at Polymesse:

All actions and conversations take place by mutual agreement.

Those affected determine for themselves when a boundary has been crossed. Their perception is taken seriously and not questioned.

(The power of definition does not mean that those affected alone decide on the consequences.)

Have you Experienced Discrimination at Polymesse?

We’re here for you.

The Polymesse team is here to listen to you, support you with the next steps and help make the event safer.

You decide what happens next. We won’t take any action without your consent and will treat your concerns confidentially, even within the team. Reach out to our contact persons at any time. They will gladly try to help you.

Have you witnessed discriminatory behaviour as an outsider?

As an observer, you can contact us at any time as well.

By reporting incidents, you’re helping to make Polymesse safer for everyone. Your report will be treated in confidence.

Our Measures

  • We actively promote the importance of treating others with respect (via our website, social media and on-site).
  • Throughout the event, clearly identified contact persons will be available to address any concerns.
  • In the event of inappropriate behaviour, the organisers reserve the right to take appropriate action in consultation with the individuals concerned.
